Citazione1. Remove battery and unplugged AC power
2. On a separate computer copied the psap150.fd file I extracted from the following link (ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.50 ) to a USB Thumb Drive
3. Inside the slc8v150.iso from the BIOS update file, there is the 2305d150.ima file which I extracted the FLAjunk.EXE file from. I put this file onto the USB Thumb Drive as well.
4. I copied the psap150.fd a few times and named them the following:
2365.fd - this was the .ima file "prefix" was for the 1.80 file (i just realized this differs from the v. 1.50 .ima file name)
psap.fd - the "prefix" for the original *.fd file
slc8.fd - the "prefix" for the BIOS file name from Toshiba's site
bios.fd - on a hunch
5. I removed the USB Thumb Drive from my primary machine and plugged it into the laptop
6. Plugged in the AC power
7. Pressed and held the 'F' key
8. Pressed the power button to turn on computer but did not hold
9. Count 4 - one thousands and released the 'F' key
10. Watched on as the laptop accessed the USB Thumb Drive and heard the fan spin up as the computer began the update (no screen or beeps. only indication was the fan speed kicked up).
11. Laptop powered off then powered back on and I saw the POST screen.
