Come impostare la lingua italiana in Linux???

Ciao a tutti!!
Vorrei sapere perchè, anche se nell'installazione metto come linguaggio predefinito l'italiano, alla fine è sempre in inglese??? E se tento di impostare la lingua italiana non mi risulta tra le opzioni, ci sono tutte tranne l'italiano, come fare???:duo

cerco di anticipare la risposta....
se ti riferisci alla lingua dei menu di sistema mi sembra strano, ma se parli della lingua nei menu delle applicazioni non c'è nulla di strano. poichè le applicazioni vengono inizialmente sviluppate indipendentemente dalle distro, è facile che trovi l'installazione in inglese e poi un add-on della lingua che vuoi da installare a parte. Può in effetti essere un pò scomodo perchè potresti essere costretto a farlo per tutte le applicazioni che hai installato ( a me è successo così con kubuntu)
