Come sapete, alcuni giorni fa in una news, vi ho detto che Creative realizzerà delle schede video con GPU NV30, bene, infatti la filiale Europea di Creative Labs si occuperà di produrre schede video con GPU Nvidia, mentre sarà la filiale Asiatica di Cerative che realizzerà schede video con GPU ATi Radeon 9000/9700.
Questo era per chiarire meglio le idee, sul ruolo di Creative nel mercato delle schede video 3D.
In realtà, con questa news, vi viglio dire, che leggendo meglio l`intervista fatta dal sito Guru3D a Creative Labs nei giorni scorsi, che trovate a questo indirizzo, il rappresentatnte di Creative afferma nell`intervista che la società (Creative), non ha intenzione di rilasciare una versione per i videogiocatori 3D della scheda video 3D Labs P10, in pratica, se vi ricordate tempo fa, giravano voci che Creative avrebbe rilasciato una versione dedicata ai videogiocatori 3D dela sua nuova GPU/VPU P10 realizzata da 3D Labs, bene, adesso questa presunta scheda video con GPU/VPU P10 indirizzata al mercato dei videogiochi 3D, non uscirà più per diversi motivi che potete leggere qui sotto!!
Ecco un tratto dell`intervista di Guru3D, in cui si dice quello riportato da me qui sopra:


Creative Technology does not have a lot of desire to offer consumer's graphics cards based on the 3Dlabs P10 graphics processor. Firstly because the latter was designed with workstation applications in mind, as well as OpenGL 2.0, secondly because it cannot offer the same level of performance and features compared to the RADEON 9700 and, especially, the NV30.
The representative added that P10 architecture is very scalable and can be used in a lot of other devices, not in the field of personal computers. In fact, 3Dlabs is going to reveal an advanced version of P10 in the first quarter of 2003, as we heard sometimes ago, hence we still may see consumer's graphics boards from Creative Labs powered by 3Dlabs chips.
Creative Labs Europe will not sell RADEON 9000/9700 graphics cards. The reason is that the subsidiary has very tight relations with Nvidia and it will not be good for their business to try pushing ATI's products.
Obviously, Nvidia's positions in Asia are weaker and ATI can offer more favourable terms of collaboration there. As a result, Creative Technology Asia sells RADEON 9000/9700 based videocards.
Creative Labs will continue to outsource the manufacturing to the third-party companies.

br> In questo modo, se le coste saranno così, allora ci sarà solo Ati e Nvidia, come sempre, a spartirsi il mercato delle schede video per i giochi 3D.
