AmigaSYS è un Ambiente Amiga preconfigurato.

Tutto ciò di cui avete bisogno è una installazione di WinuAE sul vostro computer e un CD di AmigaOS 3.5 o 3.9 originali da cui copiare i file di sistema dell'OS (oppure le immagini disco dei floppy dell'OS 3.1).

AmigaSYS poi provvede ad installare tutti i programmi di pubblico dominio e le librerie che permettono di avere sul vostro Amiga emulato la grafica a 24bit, il suono a 16bit, gli sfondi coi temi, i dock, e una caterva di programmi per suonare MP3, Tracker, vedere filmati, e inoltre i datatype e i player per le immagini in tantissimi formati (GIF, JPEG, ecc.), installa lo stack TCP-IP e permette all'Amiga emulato di andare in rete.

Funziona appoggiandosi non solo a WinUAE, ma anche alle installazioni di Cloanto Amiga Forever, e agli emulatori Amithlon e AmigaOS XL.

AmigaOSXL se ben ricordo è un LiveCD che fa partire X86 direttamente con l'emulatore Amiga basato su Amithlon.

Amithlon è un emulatore Amiga che usa il motore di WINUAE  ma non emula il chipset grafico, e però l'emulazione Amiga, e la gestione del processore 68040 emulato SCHIZZA.

Però mancando ad Amithlon l'emulazione del chipset Amiga grafica/suono/blitter, etc.. serve solo per i programmi seri (paint, productivity, internet browser) marcati Amiga RTG, cioé quelli che non avevano bisogno del Chipset originale di Amiga per partire.

In altre parole... No giochi!

Amithlon si può anche installare alla partenza del PC, se ben ricordo, ma qui lo dico e qui lo nego, perché è parecchio tempo che non ne sento quasi più parlare.

AmigaOSXL e Amithlon sono prodotti di Haage&Partner Gemania.

Siccome ad Amiga Inc. USA che detiene i diritti dell'OS, questi prodotti non le sono piaciuti, ha mandato all'epoca una lettera da parte dei suoi avvocati alla Haage&Partner, intimando la cessazione della vendita.

Questi prodotti ormai si trovano solo "tarocchi", e purtroppo supportano solo hardware X86 ormai OBSOLETO...

Fino alle piastre madri con Pentium IV a 3,2 GHz più o meno ci si è riusciti a far girare sopra Amithlon, ma non credo che ci si possa fare sui nuovi core-duo, né le attuali schede grafiche o le attuali schede di rete vengono più viste...

SE con Amithlon devi usare vecchi programmi Amiga "seri" tipo TVPAINT, o per vedere la posta con YAM e internet senza beccare virus, allora ti conviene...

E

SE trovi un vecchio PC per fare da "muletto" per Amithlon, allora ti conviene...

Per tutto il resto non conviene.

ho scaricato e installato amiga sys 3 plus. veramente un ottimo prodotto.

Solo che volevo chidervi una cosa:

non riesco a fargli vedere il cd o dvd nel senso se faccio mount cd mi dice errore nel caricamento di uaescasi.device, anche facendo finddevice non sortisce alcun effetto.

in cosa sbaglio?
