ma una volta nn si cambiava la prima cifra quando c'erano sostanziali modifiche rispetto alla serie precedente? no, perchè io di novità nn ne riscontro...

Ogni nuova release di driver apporta modifiche che vanno dalla performance migliore nei giochi alla correzzione di bug presenti nelle versioni precedenti.
I Catalyst hanno questo sistema di identificazione: 5.1 - 5= ANNO 5° - 1= MESE 1° - cioè Gennaio 2005. Per chi fosse interessato sono usciti anche i nuovi Driver ATi Linux... un po' più facili da installare e portano leggere migliorie.
