nuove voci bios

ho aggiornato il bios della mia mobo che è la asus a7v133-vm con chiset kt133a,e ora in chip configuration ci sono 2 nuove voci : s2k output drive strenght e s2k pad slew rate control entrambe settate ad 1 ,mi sapete dire che significano e come posso impostarle??

qualcosa ho trovato, ma un pò difficile da interpretare ....

# CPU Drive Strength

Options: 0, 1, 2, 3

This determines the signal strength on the FSB--higher value, stronger signal. This can reduce chipset stability as it will increase chipset heat production, but it will also increase overclocked CPU stability. Set it to 2 or 3 when overclocking, and set it to 1 when you're leaving the CPU at its marked speed. Like other drive strengths, this is a stability option and will do nothing for performance.

S2K Strength Setting

Options: Enable, Disable

This enables the control "S2K Strength Value." Disable it.   You don't need to change the S2K Strength unless, perhaps, you like the look of white text on a blue background, the first word being "STOP."

S2K Strength Value

Options: auto, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

S2K is AMD's name for the Athlon's bus. On Athlon Classic, this also covered the Back Side Bus (L2), so it was separate from "EV6." This setting fine tqunes the signal strength of the bus itself and has only been seen on Asus A7V series motherboards so far. This is an absolute black art. Alter it if you know precisely what you're doing and have an in-depth knowledge of both the chipset and EV6 buses.Alter it at your peril. Most people should leave it either disabled or on auto.

mah..da quello che ho capito s2k output drive strenght permette di agire sul bus e in particolare sulla potenza del segnale,consentendo una specie di overclock...almeno credo

più che consentire un overclock, aumenta la stabilità quando il sistema viene overcloccato sembrerebbe

AIUTOOOO!! da quando ho aggiornato il bios mi capita che il sistema si blocchi del tutto!!!! mi sapete dire il perche??

Se io fossi in te prima proverei a caricare le impostazioni di default per vedere se i blocchi spariscono. se ciò non avviene tornerei al bios precedente

Ho gia le impostazioni di default e mi è successo ancora proprio mentre navigavo in internet...il fatto è che il bios l'ho aggiornato con l'utility della asus,ma nn ho salvato quello precedente!!..potrebbe essere windows?? visto che dopo che ho fatto l'aggiornamento il sistema si è bloccato e riavviato e poi mi è uscito un avviso di errore grave di windows in cui era scitto che  che il sistema era stato ripristinato??

Beh con la stessa utility della asus  puoi cercarti un bios  precedente... potrebbe essere windows? potrebbe... zio bill non è che ci abbia regalato(notare la sottigliezza...) un mostro di precisione...

Uffa!!!!!!!!!....ho messo la versione precedente del bios ma si è bloccato dinuovo!! nn so che fare...la cosa strana è che spesso mi capita quando visito il sito della gazzetta dello sport,che sia qualche applicazione che viene caricata il problema?
